When building articles in Adobe Digital Publishing Suite, determining how the content will be revealed to readers must be part of the design process. Sometimes it’s desirable for an article to be experienced as a series of pages that a reader swipes through from side to side instead of up and down.

To specify that the pages of an article are to be swiped horizontally, the Horizontal Swipe Only option can be selected in the Article Properties dialog box, which is accessible via the Folio Builder panel menu. Note that only the first page of a Horizontal Swipe Only article appears in the table of contents in the viewer navigation, but all pages appear in Browse mode and in the Scrubber.
