What’s ahead? Courtesy of Kleverk Designs, this week’s infographic pick looks at what the coming months will bring for mobile app development, including greater integration of Internet of Things (IoT) technology linking devices, vehicles, structures, and more.

Currently, 50 million apps are downloaded every day, but 25% are abandoned each day and 95% within a month, mostly because of poor user experience, our pick notes. That means for media and other organizations retention will remain a big focus, and key to that will be more personalized rich media content to drive more engagement—think high-quality video and audio, among other user-friendly features.

And we’ll also see bigger mobile advertising budgets: This year, marketers are expected to spend $101.3 billion on mobile (smartphones and tablets) worldwide.
