Lights, camera, action! Live video is on the radar screen of most publishers today. With offerings like Facebook Live, Twitch, Twitter Periscope, and YouNow promising greater audience engagement—particularly among younger demographics—one out of five media companies are planning to invest in live video in the next six months, according to this week’s infographic pick from Brave Media Ventures and Brightcove. And new technology is making it easier than ever to create content, while social media is providing easy access to audiences, it says.

Right now publishers are still fleshing out their content and monetization strategies, but given the potential of live streaming, all signs point to continued growth.
