More resources for you!

Here at TFP we’re all about helping publishing businesses successfully navigate today’s every-changing environment. One of the ways we do that is by helping you stay up to date with the latest trends and industry news and sharing insights we’ve gained working with leading publishers.

To that end, in addition to our This Week in Publishing, Media Metrics, Women in Media, Book Picks, and Content Strategy posts, we’re bringing you a new resource starting this month: Podcast Picks, featuring industry leaders on topics relevant to you and your business.

Our first selection is a Recode Media discussion with Vanity Fair Editor Radhika Jones, who took over from iconic VF editorial chief Graydon Carter about nine months ago, just as publisher Condé Nast began a wave of cuts, consolidations, and shutdowns to meet mounting economic pressures. Today, she says, balancing digital and legacy requires publishers to “do all things.”

“I probably spend 100 percent of my time thinking about editorial and 100 percent thinking about the business, and so that’s 200 percent,” she says.

Hear how Jones is approaching her job and “making it her own” in this podcast with guest host Lydia Polgreen, editor in chief of HuffPost.
