Here are some of the latest changes for people in media this past month:

  • Agnes Chapski was named InStyle’s new VP and publisher. She is the former president of Sandow’s NewBeauty magazine and marketing services shop Beauty Engine.
  • Paul Maidment was named editor-in-chief of G/O Media, Inc. He most recently served as the director of analysis and managing editor at the international consulting firm Oxford Analytica.
  • Ernie Cote was appointed publisher of D CEO, D CEO Healthcare, and D CEO Real Estate verticals. He was, most recently, the CEO of chemical and pharmaceutical trade publishing company ChemicalInfo.
  • Fabiola Cineas was promoted to senior editor of Philadelphia magazine. She was the magazine’s business editor.
  • Tahirah Hairston is the new fashion and beauty features director for Teen Vogue. She was the deputy editor at Lenny Letter.
  • Danielle Kwateng-Clark was named culture & entertainment director for Teen Vogue. She was senior culture editor for Vice’s Broadly.
  • Paul Smalera has been named the executive editor of digital of Medium’s new business magazine. He previously served as executive editor of Fast Company.
  • Kevin Donahue is joining the Philadelphia Business Journal as managing editor. He previously served as Rodale’s senior director of digital operations.
  • Dan Gilgoff is the executive editor for digital and content at AARP. Before this, he served as the VP and executive editor of digital at National Geographic.
  • Amy Schellenbaum took on the role of group digital director for Bonnier Media. She was the online director of Popular Science for the past three years
  • Mike DeLuca was named the group publisher of Hearst Connecticut Media Group. He will also continue to hold the title of CEO of LocalEdge, which is a Hearst Media Services company. 
  • Kristin Guinan is the new associate publisher of marketing for Real Simple. She most recently served as the group marketing director of Rachael Ray Every Day and Health.
  • Joyce Tang was promoted to executive managing editor for G/O Media. She was formerly the deputy managing editor.
  • Andrés Gutierrez was tapped as the new associate publisher of sales for InStyle this week. Most recently, he served as a business development consultant for the luxury lifestyle and beauty consultant group Dragonfly Sage.
  • Cory Haik is joining Vice Media as chief digital officer. She was the publisher of digital news at Mic.
  • Kevin Donahue has been hired as managing editor at The Philadelphia Business Journal. He was most recently senior director of digital editorial operations at Rodale.
  • Steve Riley was promoted to executive editor of the The Houston Chronicle. He was previously deputy managing editor.
  • Stephanie Paterik is now executive editor of Adweek. She previously held the position of managing editor.
  • Lisa Granatstein is now the editor and senior vice president of programming at Adweek. She was previously managing editor.
  • Tiffany Reid has been named style director for the Hearst Women’s Fashion Group, which includes Cosmopolitan, Elle, Marie Claire, Women’s Health and Harper’s Bazaar. She was the previous senior fashion editor for Cosmopolitan and Seventeen.  
  • Tahirah Hairston was named fashion and beauty features director for Teen VOGUE.  She comes from Lenny Letter, where she was deputy editor.
  • Jackie Spinner has been named editor of Gateway Journalism Review. He is a former correspondent for Columbia Journalism Review.
  • Paul Smalera has joined as editor-in-chief of a new Medium publication about business. He comes from Fast Company, where he most recently served as executive editor, digital.
  • Brendan Vaughan has been hired as editor-in-chief of a new Medium publication about power.  He was previously an executive editor at Penguin Random House.
  • Vanessa K. DeLuca has joined as editor-in-chief of a new Medium publication for and about black women. She is the former editor-in-chief of Essence magazine.
  • Indrani Sen has been hired as editor-in-chief of a new Medium publication about personal development. She was previously with Quartzy.
  • Eric Leffler  was named vice president, video for GQ. He was previously executive producer at Condé Nast’s Vanity Fair.
