Harper’s Bazaar has hired Kimberly Cutter to fill the role of Executive Editor. Cutter comes from Brides magazine, where she had held the post of Executive Features Director since January.

Cutter has written for Harper’s and Elle U.K. and was a Contributing Editor at Marie Claire. According to a press release, she served as Acting Features Director at Harper’s in 2007 and prior to that was the West Coast Editor for W magazine. Cutter is also the author of the novel The Maid, a fictionalized account of the life of Joan of Arc.

Harper’s also announced that it has promoted Laura Brown from Features/Special Project Director to Executive Editor/Special Projects. Brown has been with the magazine since 2005 and hosts the fashion series The Look on YouTube. She has previously held editorial positions at Details and W.
