When creating content for an app in InDesign with the Adobe Digital Publishing Suite tools, the Folio Builder panel is one of the primary panels you will use. The Folio Builder panel has three views: Folio, Article, and Layout View. The Folio Builder panel menu changes depending on which view is active.

When Folio View is active, the panel menu provides options to do the following:

  • Create a new folio
  • Add an article
  • Import an article
  • Rename a folio
  • Delete a folio
  • Import HTML resources
  • Share a folio
  • Create an app
  • Launch Folio Producer
  • Edit the properties of the folio
  • Launch the Adobe Help menu
  • Sign out

The Article View in the Folio Builder panel is where new articles are created or imported into the folio. All articles in the folio will be listed here. When Article View is active, the Folio Builder panel menu provides options to do the following:

  • Create a new folio
  • Add an article
  • Import a single article or multiple articles
  • Update, rename, or delete an article
  • Relink an article
  • Import HTML resources
  • Copy to another location
  • Open article properties
  • Launch Folio Producer
  • Launch the Adobe Help menu
  • Launch the About DPS dialog
  • Sign out
