An infographic from EBay Deals cleverly drew on data gleaned from Twitter, YouTube, and Google search to compare eight tablet models: the Xperia Tablet S/Z, Surface RT/Pro, Nexus 7/10, Galaxy Tab2/Note, iPad 2/Mini, PlayBook, Kindle Fire HD, and Nook HD. The models were selected based on how frequently they were mentioned in 20,000 Twitter posts that included the word “tablet.”

The number of views of unboxing and review videos on YouTube, and the Google autocomplete feature on its search page, offered some additional insights into the levels of pre-purchase curiosity and the most common problems users experience with their devices. Additional analysis of 10,000 tweets revealed how users feel about the devices after purchasing them.
