If you are looking to create interactive publications for tablets and smartphones and are currently using InDesign CS5 or later, you can install the Adobe Digital Publishing Suite of tools. Just be aware that there are different methods for installing the DPS tools, depending on which version of InDesign you have.

For InDesign CC or CS6, select Help>Updates in InDesign to run the DPS Desktop Tools installer to get the full set of tools.

For InDesign CS5/CS5.5, two separate installations are necessary to install both the Folio Producer tools and the Folio Builder panel.

Here is a list provided by Adobe for all the installation links you’ll need to install the DPS Tools, as well as a link to download the DPS App Builder:

InDesign CC/CS6

InDesign CS5.5/CS5

DPS App Builder (Mac OS only)
