Adweek has shared an infographic on differences in mobile news consumption habits based on gender, app type, and device. The Reynolds Journalism Institute and Digital Publishing Alliance News Consumption Survey found that half of smartphone and/or tablet users downloaded at least one news app in the first quarter of this year, and that smartphones are preferred over tablets by frequent newspaper-app readers—something publishers might want to keep in mind when creating content for their audiences.
