In early October, mobile news reader Flipboard announced that it had 90 million users—a 41% increase over the number it reported in April. Some publishers aren’t sure whether the mobile news reader helps them by attracting attention to their brands or hurts them by keeping their audiences within the Flipboard app rather than driving traffic to their own websites. Meanwhile, according to AdAge, non-traditional publishers such as Cisco and Levi’s are creating surprisingly successful brand magazines on Flipboard.

Given Flipboard’s popularity and staggering growth, it’s worth keeping an eye on it, regardless of which side you’re on. This infographic from Flipboard takes a look at who’s using the app, its top publishers, and the top brands.
