There may be instances when you need to make changes to an app that has already been published. You update the InDesign files, and then need to remember to update the Adobe Digital Publishing Suite folio too. When changes are made to a DPS folio that has already been published, the Update button will become active when that folio is highlighted in the Folio Producer Dashboard.

Once the updated folio has been thoroughly checked for accuracy and it’s ready to go, the Update button will push new content to the distribution servers. The update is then detected by the app, and the user will get a message that the folio has been updated and a download of the new material is available.

Note that there are certain attributes that, when changed, won’t allow a folio to be updated but instead require a folio to be unpublished and then republished. Such attributes include Publication Name, Folio Number, Product ID, and Size.
