In research conducted by YourGov, 41% of British social media users said they were bored with it and planned to use it less. That’s not what online publishers want to hear.

So, what can they do to attract their audiences’ attention? The implication seems to be that if you can provide content that is genuinely useful and more compelling than social media users’ oft-regretted rants and bizarre but pointless images, you just might have a shot at getting readers to spend some time on your site.
