Visual content is exploding on social media, and it’s no surprise: Our brains process visuals 60,000 times faster than text. That’s according to this week’s Infographic Pick of the Week from Oracle, posted on the SocialTimes site.

Yahoo, for one, has invested heavily in visual media, buying Tumblr for $1.1 billion as well as Vizify, which turns social media data into interactive infographics. Even Twitter is moving in that direction, with five tweets per second containing a vine link. One size doesn’t fit all, though. Oracle points out that audience and preferred social networks matter.
