Adobe Digital Publishing Suite v32.4, released Dec. 8, includes the following updates and bug fixes:

Adobe-Digital-Publishing

Background downloading in non-Newsstand apps

Folios are downloaded in the background of any non-Newsstand app when a push notification for a new folio is sent to users who have enabled push notifications and are running iOS 8 or later. This feature is supported for v32.1 and later apps.

Immersive Mode support for Android viewers

Android devices that support soft keys instead of hardware keys for back, home, and menu navigation can now use the full screen to display the content of any v32.4 and later DPS Android app.

Offline Mode for Web Viewer in Chrome browser

Readers can view DPS web viewer content offline with the Adobe Content Viewer offline extension for Chrome. Provide the following link to customers, and instruct them to open the URL in Chrome and follow the instructions: http://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/adobe-content-viewer-offl/kdblggiagcmfpfnkjpfinhllihpkebag

Store Configurator enhancements

Options for creating welcome screens and slideshow library banners are now included in the Store Configurator.

Bug fixes

  • All links, including those associated with embedded YouTube videos, now respond to click events in Web Content overlays.
  • Pinch & Zoom now works in PDF files opened via hyperlink from an HTMLResources.zip file.
  • The viewer’s gear settings menu no longer displays empty cell blocks.

Note: The three fixes above require the apps to be rebuilt.
