Who’s reading what?  Here’s an infographic jam-packed with facts and figures on how different generations consume digital content, providing a breakdown by baby boomer, millennial, and Generation X users. Based on a survey of 1,200 people, this week’s pick from Fractl and Buzzstream, posted on Social Times, looks at how much time each group spends consuming online content, when they access it, and the devices each uses most, among a number of other preferences.

One somewhat surprising find was that a higher proportion of baby boomers spend more than 20 hours per week consuming digital content compared with their millennial and Gen X counterparts. When it comes to the time of day each group prefers to read online content, boomers are morning people (5:00 a.m. to noon), while millennial and Gen X users are more likely to log on between 8:00 p.m. and midnight. And what about differences in device use? The survey found baby boomer and Gen X consumers lean toward desktops and laptops, while millennials like mobile.
