Not a morning person? Read on. This week our focus is on productivity with a fun “do this, don’t do that” infographic that shows you how to “super-charge” your mornings.

Noting that good morning habits are key to highly productive, low-stress workdays, our pick offers a three-step approach to making the start of your day a positive experience, beginning with preparation the night before.

Here are some of the highlights:

  • DO set calming bedtime rituals (electronics free!) and early rise times (6 a.m. or earlier).
  • DO start each day the same way, with a routine that programs your brain to move through each goal.
  • DO pump up your energy with a workout or at least a quick stretch, and then get focused on your most important to-do list items while there are no distractions.
  • DON’T press the snooze button—you’ll restart your sleep cycle.
  • DON’T immediately check email or turn on the television. These activities can become “black holes,” throwing your mornings off course.
