The question that’s harder to answer is why? What makes someone engage with your content in the first place?

According to this week’s infographic, based on a study by AOL Insights, motivators can be broken down into eight categories, many of which are connected to emotional needs like inspiration, comfort, and connection. What’s more, it breaks down each category by leading topics. For example, of those seeking inspiration, 42.2% engage with fashion and style content, followed by food (42.1%), and home (40.9%). Our pick also looks at content segments by percentage of various audiences.
