Here are some of the latest changes for people in media this past month:

  • Jason Frierott was named VP and CFO at Meredith Corp. He most recently served as CFO of GE Transportation.
  • Mike Fisher was named VP/publisher at Entertainment Weekly. He previously served as head of publisher partnerships marketing at Apple.
  • Kira Bindrim was promoted to executive editor of Quartz. She previously held the position of managing editor.
  • Heather Landy was promoted to executive editor of Quartz. She previously served as editor of Quartz at Work.
  • Jahna Berry was named chief operating officer at Mother Jones. She spent the past two years at Wired as head of content operations.
  • Margaret Chu was named CFO at Vox Media. She most recently served as EVP, corporate strategy and development at Horizon Media.
  • Cory Sealey was named director of business development for The Talent Group at Condé Nast. He previously served as head of partnerships with Edelman Public Relations.
  • Ben French will serve as VP, consumer product, focused on digital growth strategy for The New Yorker. Most recently he held the position of senior VP of discovery for The New York Times.
  • Buddhika Amis was named senior marketing director at Reuters. She previously served as director of global marketing at Pearson.
  • Phil Andraos was promoted to global director, product marketing at Reuters. He previously served as global head of commercial policy and customer insights.
  • Katie Ingman was named integrated marketing director at Reuters. She most recently served as director of marketing for Europe, Middle East and Asia for Quartz.
  • Toye Cody and Sondra Newkirk were promoted to VP at Meredith Corp. They previously served as executive directors in the brand licensing division.
  • Bill Nurthen was named chief financial officer at Endeavor Business Media. He previously served as CFO of ARI Network Services.
  • Corinne Iozzio was named editor-in-chief of Popular Science.  Most recently she served as executive editor of Pop Sci.
  • Laura Helmuth was named editor-in-chief of Scientific American. She most recently served as the health and science editor at The Washington Post.
  • Tracy Middleton was named brand director of Yoga Journal. Most recently she served as senior editor at Women’s Health.
  • Mark Jocson was named VP, digital distribution and partnerships for the MotorTrend Group. He previously served as SVP of business development and strategic initiatives at Rakuten Viki.
  • Krista Mahr was named senior editor in the Washington, D.C., bureau for TIME magazine. Most recently she served as a contributor to the Los Angeles Times, Associated Press and NPR.
  • Emily Cohn was promoted to deputy editor in chief at Business Insider. She was most recently the executive growth editor.
  • Billy Cadden was promoted to group commerce editor at Bonnier Corp. and will oversee affiliate efforts for Field & Stream, Outdoor Life, Popular Science, and Saveur.  He most recently served as the commerce editor of Popular Science.
  • Andrew Fish was promoted to senior editor of American Cinematographer. He previously served as associate editor.
  • Dorothy Hinchcliff was named editor at Advisor Perspectives.  She was previously the executive editor of Financial Advisor magazine, as well as editor of FA online and FA green.
  • Lauren Larson was named features editor at Texas Monthly. She most recently served as a freelance writer and editor and has contributed to an array of publications including Men’s Health, GQ, Allure, The New Yorker, Medium, and others.
  • Jenny Dial Creech was named managing editor of The Athletic Houston. She previously held multiple positions including an NBA beat writer, highs school sports editor and general sportswriter.
  • Faye Brennan was named editor in chief at Eat This, Not That! She most recently served as the sex & relationships director at Cosmopolitan magazine.
  • Pamela Mitchell was promoted to editor in chief of Pets+ Magazine. She previously served as a senior editor.
